The ‘Albatros’ is the fruit of 40 years of experience in world-famous regattas such as the 60′ Open, Vendee Globe ™. Developed by one of the greatest designers in the world, Mr. Jean Marie Finot and his Finot Group with the usage of digital modeling and technology such as ISIS ™.
The ‘Albatros’ is a small, light sailboat for one or two-person crew, with a length of 4.30 m with a heavy, swivel center board, designed for all those who want to get to know and take pleasure in sailing with the following assumptions:
- Get on the water easily and safely
- Get pleasure from the exciting sailing by stable, solid and fast and safe sailboat.
Being the fruit of recent evolutions in the area of calculations, materials and construction techniques, the ‘Albatros’ is a new type of a sailboat designed to revive the “light” sailing in countries where yachting has a lot of tradition as well as in developing countries in this respect.
The ‘Albatros’ is a part of the sustainable development plan, sailing only thanks to the usage of wind and crew energy, without need for a place to mooring in a harbour.
This idea allowed to gather specialized partners to implement this project.
With them, we will be producing the ‘Albatros’ in France and Poland and promoting it worldwide.
The ‘Albatros’ is intended for both the sea and lakes. For recreational and regatta’s sailing.
The cockpit gives a sense of security, the yacht is very tolerant when the wind force changes. The lightweight construction of carbon fiber with a carbon mast and a heavy center board give the center of gravity a low position, which makes the boat stand up itself and, thanks to the air chambers, it is not sinkable.
The ‘Albatross 4.30’ is characterized by a very wide hull optimized for sailing with tilting at 7 °. A very narrow waterline (despite the wide hull) and the self-adjusting center board allow for additional reduction of water resistance. Thanks to these characteristics, the ‘Albatros’ slides independently of the wind direction.
